The schedule for Morocco’s National Film Festival has changed. In an official announcement, the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre (CCM) confirmed that the 26th edition of the festival has been postponed to March 2027.
The announcement provides updated guidance for filmmakers and rights holders planning to participate in the event. According to the CCM, films whose applications have already been submitted will remain registered for the upcoming edition.
Their rights holders will be able to finalise their films’ screening copies in accordance with the procedures and deadlines that will be announced at a later date.
A new application window to be announced
Applications have not closed for films that have yet to be submitted. The CCM has confirmed that a new submission period will be opened, with details regarding dates, duration and procedures to be communicated in a future announcement.
The measure is intended to give industry professionals additional time to prepare final screening copies and complete their participation files.
Filmmakers and rights holders are encouraged to follow the CCM’s official communications for further information about the revised schedule and application procedures.
